Who is Teatret Den Omvendte Verden
Teatret Den Omvendte Verden is a travelling pantomime theatre.
The theatre is built around Gurik as the central figure. A poetic, white-painted character who, when the world turns against him, howls like a wolf.
The stories performed can be of metaphysical, social, or psychological nature, but all aim
“to remove the stones that prevent one from living in the world of childhood”

My Background is in 1970´s experimental theatre. With the support of Højgård Foundation, I had the opportunity at the end of the 1970´s to study ay the Mimeschool in Paris ( Yves Lebreton) and later at a theatre school in Switzerland (Yolando Rodio). From the mid.1980´s, I have worked in the circus world and amusement places as clown, mime, and as Santa Claus.
An a increasing need to express more facets of life led me in 2023 to establish Teatret Den Omvendte Verden.
